Date, registration and cost
UHR lists 15 August 2026 at Stockholmsmässan as the first test date. UHR also writes that registration for that sitting is closed because the test is full.
The first 2026 sitting is free. The regulation’s SEK 2,000 fee is first applied to tests held in 2027.
Format and language
UHR describes the test as about 60 multiple-choice questions in Swedish, with 90 minutes of test time.
Eligibility and alternatives
Migrationsverket decides who is directed to the test. Some approved education qualifications can satisfy the knowledge requirement without a test, and exceptions may apply in individual circumstances.
After the test
UHR says the result will appear in the registration account during autumn and will be reported automatically to Migrationsverket. An exact publication date has not been announced.
